The Opportunity:

Spectral is a $1.2B program to provide the U.S. Navy's next-generation SIGINT, EMW, and IO weapon system. The Spectral system is critical to the ability for our forces to fight and win in the increasingly sophisticated and complex EW threats of our adversaries.

CACI is looking to hire a Test Engineering Architect to join our Dev Integration Product Team focusing on automated testing. As a Test Engineering Architect, you will collaborate with 10+ Product Teams and lead the team to ensure robust test coverage and seamless system interactions through automated testing. This role goes beyond traditional testing by incorporating software engineering and DevSecOps practices to automate tests, develop tools, and enhance the overall quality of code from the initial stages of development through to deployment. This role will serve as the technical lead for testing, solving complex challenges like performance, security, and scalability. You will guide your team through the software lifecycle process and build scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks that support automated testing efforts across multiple software domains for our customer. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background combined with excellent leadership and communication skills.


Responsibilities:

Defining and implementing advanced testing strategies across the software development lifecycle.You will act as both technical visionary and be responsible for hands-on deliveryDevelop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and implement testing solutions for large software programsDesign and implement scalable test automation frameworks, select appropriate tools, and define technical standards.Define and set up complex test environments and data creation methodsManage test data architecture definitions and requests for mission-critical workflowsUnderstand the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to the Test Team and other Product TeamsMeet with multiple Product Teams, System Engineers, and QA to determine testing parameters and requirementsTroubleshoot errors and streamline test proceduresTesting and examining code written by others and analyzing results, including: Data validation testing, Functional testing, Performance and load testing, Usability testing, Application security testing, User interface testingDocument as-is state of multiple integration environments, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendationsLeverage virtualization and containerization to optimize testing software systemsEngineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services providedAct as an individual contributor and mentor more junior team membersProactively identify and communicate risks related to quality and testing.


Qualifications:
Required: 

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field7+ years of hands-on software development experience, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership role5+ Years of Experience integrating test automation including performance, security, and functional tests into CI/CD pipelinesProficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C, C++, Python)Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system scalabilityKnowledge of Agile software development best practicesStrong documentation skills following templated formats for both informal and formal documents (Confluence, Word, Power Point, Excel)Knowledge of modern software engineering, to include DevSecOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, version control, and automated testingStrong communication skills, ability to work independently and within agile team constructs to lead developers in fast paced, collaborative environmentsMust be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret, and ability to obtain a SCI Security Clearance


Desired:

Strong experience in functional and API test automation and API testing tools such as Postman, Cucumber, Selenium, Cucumber, TODOExperience with cloud technologies (e.g. AWS) and microservices architecture, API development, and RESTful web servicesExperience with container automation and orchestration tooling employment (Kubernetes, Podman/Docker)Experience with deploying application containers to a Kubernetes clusterProficiency in front-end and back-end technologies (React, Node.js, Django) and frameworks as required by the roleHands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, etc)Stay abreast of emerging technologies and evaluate their potential application to our productsExperience with developing in a closed network environment which requires adhering to strict security protocols and limited access to external resources.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$90,300-$189,600
