Who We Are

The Chief Data Office (CDO) Engagement function serves as the strategic liaison between AT&T’s Business Units (BUs) and the Chief Data Office. Engagement Managers are trusted advisors who guide business leaders through the transformative potential of Data & AI technologies, ensuring alignment with governance, architecture, and delivery processes. The role is pivotal in fostering long-term partnerships, driving adoption of innovative solutions, and enhancing operational efficiency across the enterprise.  You will lead and support the orchestration of engagements across the data lifecycle—from ideation and intake through governance, architecture, and delivery—ensuring that each initiative aligns with enterprise standards and delivers measurable value. You will also play a critical role in evangelizing the CDO’s capabilities, including GenAI, data platforms, and governance frameworks.

What You Will Do

Strategic Liaison: Act as the primary interface between assigned BUs and the CDO, translating business needs into actionable data and AI initiatives.

Education & Advocacy: Educate BU leaders on CDO capabilities, GenAI opportunities, and governance requirements.

Governance Navigation: Guide stakeholders through the Unified Front Door (UFD) and GenAI governance processes, including risk mitigation and solution reviews.

Deep understanding of both business strategy and data governance, enabling you to translate complex business needs into scalable, compliant, and high-impact data solutions.

Opportunity Management: Identify, curate, and shepherd new opportunities that drive real business value.

Relationship Building: Maintain and nurture cross-organizational relationships, conduct portfolio reviews, and serve as a feedback conduit to CDO leadership.

What You Will Bring

 Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science or Engineering.

5+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.
Understanding of Data Technologies – the ability to understand and explain the fundamentals of data technologies

Executive Presence & Communications – the ability to communicate with people from all levels of the company

Organization – the ability to be and stay organized

Storytelling – the ability to create and tell engaging stories, rather than monotone presentations

Our Lead Technology Strategy, earns between $130,700-$196,100 USD Annual not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
