Seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on role requiring a seasoned professional with a comprehensive mix of Security / IT background to support our systems including networking, compute/virtual infrastructure operations, threat detection software and systems, threat analysis and action of supported systems, and new technology integration with built in security engineering included. The team also handles day-to-day security compliance and user administration. The successful candidate will become a viable member leading in the integration, configuration, deployment, security remediation, and operations.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Expertise in Linux-based operating systems: Red Hat, CentOS, VMware, KVMWindows operating system environment supportMulti-platform support of OEM appliances, Windows and Linux VMware based appliancesMentoring junior and mid-level staff in best practices for installation and operations of security products/practicesAbility to install and operate Trellix, SentinalOne, Splunk and other related security and analysis systems.Patching and remediation of monitored systems and networks with the teamTier 3+ service support, interfacing with Tier 2IT service delivery, assurance, and operationsAssist in developing new shared services (product deployments, customized solutions – Internal/External as needed)Providing technical implementation support for security compliance and system accreditation processesRequired Clearance:

Required Qualifications:
Must be a US CitizenBachelor's degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Security operations of systems supporting: Virtualization, Windows and Linux Computing solution engineering and architecture solutionsExperience with on premise, cloud and hybrid-cloud based deploymentsMust be able to obtain and retain federal security clearanceStrong written and verbal communication skillsDesired Qualifications:
CISSP, Virtual Certifications key (DoDD 8570/ DoDD 8140)Experience with ITSM and/or ServiceNowComparable VMware certifications, RHCE, MS Certifications, Security Certs in general to IAT/IAM levels 1-3Working knowledge of common operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and basic endpoint security principlesExtensive experience in security operations and supported systems named/unnamed within the postingOur Lead Technology Security's earn between $116,700 - $180,000.
