Job Title: Lead Technician

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage systems, including security alarms, fire alarms, and access control systems. The role involves performing troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve issues, reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to ensure proper installation and operation of systems. Collaboration with other technicians and team members to complete projects in a timely manner is essential, as is providing excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions about low voltage systems. Keeping accurate records of work performed, including documenting system configurations and changes, is also required.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems including security alarms, fire alarms, and access control systems.Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve issues with low voltage systems.Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to ensure proper installation and operation of systems.Collaborate with other technicians and team members to complete projects in a timely manner.Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions about low voltage systems.Keep accurate records of work performed, including documenting system configurations and changes.Reinvigorate the team by creating better habits, managing scheduling, material procurement and allocation, and task delegation.

Essential Skills

Strong leadership experience to reinvigorate a team and create better habits.Strong knowledge of low voltage systems including electrical wiring and cabling, data networks, fire alarm, access control, automation, and more.Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, scopes of work, and technical manuals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Electrical experience (open to looking at JE's/Master Electricians).Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and address technical problems.Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of low voltage systems.Active Driver's License.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ann Arbor, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
