PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a premier aviation industry leader to find an experienced Lead Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Technician who’s ready to take ownership, lead by example, and ensure aircraft operate at the highest standards of safety and performance. In this role, your expertise directly supports mission-ready aircraft and the teams who depend on them.

What You’ll Do Day to Day

As a Lead Technician, you’ll combine hands-on technical excellence with leadership and mentorship:

Perform complex repairs and maintenance on aircraft systems

Assist in creating and managing service orders using SAP or applicable systems

Support and, when required, participate in complete engine and/or APU runs

Provide accurate time estimates for maintenance and repair activities

Train, coach, and support technicians to ensure quality and consistency

Perform Delegated Inspector (DI) functions when qualified by Quality Assurance

Communicate aircraft and task status clearly to stakeholders

Required Qualifications

Current, valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate

Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience (or equivalent substantiated experience)

Minimum 1 year of corporate or commercial jet experience

Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Basic PC proficiency

Ownership of a basic set of hand tools with demonstrated inventory and control

Ability to obtain required Ground Support Equipment (GSE) qualifications

Flexibility to work unscheduled overtime, holidays, and in seasonal/inclement weather

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in a lead or mentoring role

Familiarity with SAP or similar maintenance management systems

Delegated Inspector (DI) qualification or prior QA-related responsibilities

Pay Details: $45.00 to $47.00 per hour
