Your new role
In this role, you will act as the key link between data engineers, data stewards, and external data providers. You will ensure that RWD ingestion, transformation, and delivery run smoothly, efficiently, and at scale. A central part of the role is operationalising RWD pipelines and strengthening automation, governance, and reproducibility across our data processes. While the role is technically oriented, you will also support broader data stewardship activities when needed. We will provide full onboarding to ensure you can grow comfortably into these areas.
Your responsibilities will include:
Operationalising RWD ingestion, ETL, and dataset delivery in close collaboration with data engineers and governance stewards Leading RWD data deliveries and coordinating across engineering teams and data vendors to ensure timely, high‑quality outputs Developing pipelines for automated data features into various tools and apps and helping with maintenance and metadata preparation for these tools/apps Strengthening automation of OMOP conversion processes Integrating new analytical tools and components into our data platforms together with engineering teams Ensuring all processes and outputs meet requirements for privacy, governance, reproducibility, and documentation Applying and leveraging API knowledge to integrate data sources, connect tools, and build automated, reliable data pipelines

Your new department
You will join the RWD Strategy & Enablement team within Real‑World Evidence, a group responsible for ensuring that RWD across Novo Nordisk is governed, high‑quality, and fit‑for‑purpose. The team combines deep expertise in data stewardship, engineering, governance, automation, AI, and strategic data management to support evidence generation across the organisation.
We work closely with data scientists, epidemiologists, data engineers, legal, privacy, procurement, and IT teams across global hubs. In this role, you will strengthen our technical backbone and help ensure that colleagues across the organisation can focus more on high‑value, strategic RWD work.
Your skills and qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have a strong technical foundation and a passion for high‑quality, reproducible data operations. We expect you to have:
Master’s degree in data engineering, computer science, information science, bioinformatics, or a similar technical field Experience with data engineering (ETL/ELT, orchestration, pipeline automation) Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and documentation standards Experience working with Common data models such as OMOP Working knowledge of APIs and experience integrating data or tools through API based workflowsIt will be an advantage if you also bring:
Familiarity with Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and AWS Experience with RWD or other complex healthcare datasets Experience with cloud platforms, modern data stack tools, or metadata management frameworks
