Job Description
**Role Summary/Purpose**
Lead Technical Advisors are front line leaders, entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring operations run smoothly for a shift or group of employees. In this role, you will lead, train and support Wabtec technical advisors and customer/subcontractor teams in the execution of Diesel-Electric locomotives maintenance and repair for CTG in Guinea. You will be part of an overall team made up other functions such as supply chain, safety, quality, etc. all working to ensure our customer’s fleet is running at optimal levels. LTAs serves as an escalation point for all technical issues to minimize locomotives downtime.
This role will be based in Guinea near the port of Morebaya on a rotational basis (FIFO) of 60 days on and 15 days off. The operation is 24/7 running two 12-hour shifts. Employees will work 6 days a week one shift. Accommodation will be provided at the maintenance facility, mobilization and demobilization air and land transportation will be provided.
This role will be eligible for an assignment allowance and overtime.
**Essential Responsibilities**
+ Provide technical expertise to customer/subcontractor employees and management, as well as Wabtec employees, including safety procedures, maintenance, and repair procedures, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, material handling, tooling, and contract requirement clarification.
+ Work with customer employees and management to promote, maintain, and drive continuous improvement in safe work practices while monitoring quality, productivity, and adherence to contract requirements.
+ Provide training / mentorship to customer and Wabtec employees owning preventative and corrective actions.
+ Provide clear communication to customer employees, Wabtec employees, customer management and Wabtec management of work to be performed, quality scope, process improvements, and liaison with other cross functional departments as necessary.
+ Provide regular communication and reports on contractual deliverables which may include locomotive maintenance and repairs completed, upcoming scheduled repairs and maintenance, quality and reliability improvements, technical OJT training, facilitating materials reports, status of open issues, and other metrics deemed critical to safety, quality, and operations for the site.
+ Ensure compliance with all applicable Wabtec, customer, and local regulations.
+ Make operational risk assessments, balancing customer requests with Wabtec requirements.
+ Responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships.
+ Work with various functions within Wabtec to address customer concerns with minimal delays.
+ Coordinating implementation of field modifications and monitor effectiveness.
+ Lead a team of Wabtec and customer/subcontractor during shift to ensure maintenance work is executed successfully and safely.
+ Interface with Wabtec operation leadership on customer, contract and equipment issues.
**Qualifications/Requirements**
+ Bachelors’ Degree in a Technical discipline from an accredited College or University.
+ Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the customer facing role maintaining Wabtec/GE locomotives.
+ Wabtec L1 Locomotive Technical training certificate.
+ Experience and ability to work in shop environment and to work various shifts on various days as required.
+ Understanding of Wabtec Maintenance and Material management processes and systems.
+ Strong leadership and Interpersonal skills
+ Ability to interface with different levels of internal and external customers.
+ Fluent in Mandarin and English
