Established support individual contributor that executes routine tasks with limited supervision and more complex tasks with support. Executes day-to-day laboratory/inspection activities such as sample inspection, management, supply ordering and receipt, and general housekeeping. Maintains good laboratory and documentation practices. May perform instrument qualification/validation activities and lab investigations, and data review and metrics reporting. Identifies improvement opportunities and drives resolution with limited guidance. Escalates risks and issues as required. The technician is responsible for accurate documentation of the inspection results, timely identification of non-conformance material (when applicable) and maintaining the integrity of the material to support continuous production flow. **SECTION 2: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*** In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position: + Applies developing knowledge of Quality Control requirements to execute tasks and support organizational objectives. + Performs and tracks sample receipt, management of reagents and supplies, and general housekeeping. · Collecting and reporting metrics pertaining to inspection activities + Performs and tracks sample receipt, management of reagents and supplies, and general housekeeping. · Conduct thorough dimensional, visual or functional inspection to incoming raw materials, components and finished good materials (as applicable) against approved specification and drawings. · Ensure all receive documentation (example: CoC) meets defined requirements · Accurately document the inspection results on the required electronic or paper system. · Initiate non-conformances for product outside specification, including all required containment actions to prevent unintended use. Actively participate in the product investigation of non-conformances to address and support the identification of test method related root causes. · Perform daily checks on inspection equipment (as applicable) and care for calibrated instruments to avoid damage or misreadings. + Participate in implementation of risk mitigations and continuous improvement projects with limited supervision. + Follows formal escalation processes to ensure visibility of risks associated with product quality, regulatory compliance, and quality systems. Use data to identify risks and improvement opportunities and implement risk mitigations and process improvements with limited support. + Assists other team members in executing tasks that are both routine and complex. + Demonstrates Johnson & Johnson’s Leadership Imperatives and Credo in day-to-day interactions with team. + Manages departmental human and material resources appropriately. · Reviews and provide feedback to maintains up-to-date departmental procedures. · Ensures that material requirements are met for disposition, including PTHs as well as follows up with quality and/or purchasing engineers. · Collaborates to investigates and to documents corrective actions or corrections (for audit observations, NR, etc) assigned, ensuring timely approval and closure. · Collaborates audit plan to departmental procedures and inspection technicians to monitor compliance, and take appropriate action. · Participates in the change control system for product and processes. · Adheres to weekly inspection schedule or make necessary adjustments in capacity. · Ensures technicians and group leader are certified and assigned to applicable procedures. · Selects, coordinates training and certification of new personnel. · Promote employee suggestion system, and implementation of Kaizen projects, savings, and Mistake Proofing’s. · Collaborate in the coordination of preventive maintenance routines, calibrations, etc. of equipment in the area to keep them up to date · Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level o Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable. · For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable · Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures o Performs other duties assigned as needed **SECTION 3: EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION*** · Technical degree · 6-8 years of Experience. **SECTION 4: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS** _*_ · English 60% Preferably · Intermediate knowledge of computer packages · Implementing improvement and savings projects Preferably **SECTION 6: ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS** ☐ **This Section is Not Applicable** Work Requirements · Scheduled work hours · Overtime · Cognitive/Behavioral Abilities · Ability to work in fast paced environment · Ability to work and interact with co-workers to accomplish company goals in a team environment · Analytical/Problem Solving Skills · Ability to communicate verbally and in writing Ability to learn **Required Skills:** **Preferred Skills:** Administrative Support, Communication, Compliance Management, Controls Compliance, Execution Focus, ISO 9001, Persistence and Tenacity, Problem Solving, Quality Control (QC), Quality Standards, Quality Systems Documentation, Quality Validation, Report Writing, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Teamwork, Technologically Savvy
