Lead Specialist, AI Product Manager
Pearson
**Position Description:**
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a forward‑thinking Product Manager with strong AI experience to lead the development of a new assessment product centered on real‑time, interactive spoken communication. This product brings together Pearson’s assessment expertise with emerging AI capabilities to create a more natural and engaging way for learners to demonstrate their skills.
This is a true 0‑to‑1 product role, shaping a new assessment experience from concept through to commercial launch. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, research, psychometrics, design, and go‑to‑market teams to bring an innovative product to the enterprise market.
This role is ideal for a customer‑focused PM with experience working with enterprise clients and the ability to tell a clear, compelling product story. We put our customers at the center of everything we build, so we’re looking for someone who excels at understanding user problems, cutting through complexity, and delivering with clarity, speed, and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Define the product vision and roadmap for a new interactive, AI‑enabled assessment experience.
+ Use emerging AI capabilities to shape a secure, scalable, and compliant enterprise‑grade assessment product.
+ Engage with our enterprise customers and internal partners to understand needs, validate opportunities, and inform prioritisation.
+ Collaborate with psychometrics, research, engineering, design, and UX to build a high‑quality, evidence‑aligned experience.
+ Lead a cross‑functional squad to deliver the roadmap and iterate based on data and user feedback.
+ Collaborate with our go‑to‑market teams to support customer acquisition, market expansion, and commercial strategy.
+ Communicate a clear, compelling product story that aligns teams and builds enthusiasm for the product’s value.
**Candidate Profile**
**Qualifications:**
+ 4+ years of product management experience, ideally with exposure to AI‑powered or innovative digital products.
+ Experience working closely with AI/ML, engineering, or research teams.
+ Comfortable shaping 01 products, experimenting, and navigating ambiguity.
+ Strong user‑centered design instincts and the ability to translate complexity into simple, intuitive experiences.
+ Experience in B2B or B2B2C environments.
+ Excellent communication, storytelling and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
+ Familiarity with learning, assessment, or talent development is a plus but not required.
