As a Lead Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, testing, and deployment of high-performance, scalable software applications. This hands-on engineering position requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions. You will collaborate across teams to drive technical innovation, mentor junior engineers, and ensure adherence to best practices in software development and automation.

What You’ll Do:

Design, develop, and code high-quality software applications using diverse programming languages.

Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements, estimate tasks, and design solutions.

Develop and execute automated test plans; debug and fix code issues efficiently.

Troubleshoot and resolve application and environment problems.

Support and facilitate seamless software deployment processes.

Mentor junior team members and contribute to long-term technical strategies.

What You’ll Bring:

Proven problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in Java, RESTful APIs, Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Kafka, Microservices, database technologies, and related testing tools/methodologies.

Proficient in advanced Git usage and branching strategies.

Skilled in cloud platforms, Cosmos DB (NoSQL), data manipulation, migration, and flat file staging.

Experienced with API documentation (Swagger), monitoring, and dashboards using ELK and Dynatrace.

Strong knowledge of data formats and testing tools: JSON, XML, SoapUI, JUnit, Spock, Mockito/JMock, Selenium, and Cucumber.

Leadership abilities to guide, motivate, and uphold engineering standards within the team.

8+ years of software development experience with a focus on design and coding.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

Our Lead Software Engineering, earns between $143,800-$215,800 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
