As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking - Payments Technology, you play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a key technical contributor, you are tasked with implementing critical technology solutions across diverse technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

 

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsDevelops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLeads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureLeads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineer concepts and 5+ years applied experienceExperience with Java/J2EE with a deep understanding of the language and core APIs, web services, multi-threaded/concurrent programming, XML, design patterns, Service Oriented Architecture.Experience in implementing Microservices using Spring Boot and Event-Driven architecture, implementation of enterprise systems using DDD, SAGA/ CQRS patterns. Working proficiency in using frameworks such as AxonConverse fluently in the full web technology stack. Plan, design, test, debug and deploy software solutions for managing infrastructure, project management, capacity planning, and operational efficienciesWork in partnership with infrastructure engineers and architects to understand and identify operational improvementsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsBig data technologies(Kafka, Spark, Storm, Hadoop, HDFS, Solr)Familiarity with UI technologies (Jquery, ReactJS, Bootstrap etc)Cloud/AWS experienceAbility to guide and coach teams on approach to achieve goals aligned against a set of strategic initiatives
