As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Bank - CAMP Technology Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsDevelops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLeads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureLeads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologiesConverts complex business needs into clear technical requirements using effective requirement gathering and industry-standard toolsDevelops systems that are flexible, reusable, and easy to maintainResolves technical challenges as they arise during developmentManages technical implementation to ensure projects are completed efficiently and within budgetWorks collaboratively with production support and development teams to assist end users and address defects, including providing emergency support when necessaryCoordinates with partner teams in development, testing, and support to deliver integrated solutions.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityAdvanced in one or more programming language(s) - PEGA, Java, J2E, Spring Boot Framework, AWSProficiency in automation and continuous delivery methodsProficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life CycleAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityIn-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systemsHands on experience debuging spring boot microservice applications, and system performance monitoring / optimizationPractical cloud native experience in AWS or KubernetesHands on experience in , Pega8, and Pega24, including In-depth experience configuring security protocols, especially OAuth2.0PEGA Certification (CLSA system architect) ; strong background in application development or systems analysis with Pega.
