As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking Operations Technology Line of Business, you will play a vital role in an agile team dedicated to improving, developing, and providing reliable, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable. Your core responsibilities include being a key technical contributor, tasked with implementing essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains to support the firm's business goals.

Job responsibilities

Utilizing Java Development to create medium and large sized Java web applications including client interactions, system design, frontend/UI development, interaction with Java EE application server, and web servicesExecutes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsDevelops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLeads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureLeads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityAdvanced in one or more programming language(s)Working with Java EE APIs; Working with development builds using Maven pattern buildsApplication deployments using Jenkins, Jules and JFrog artifactoryIntegration/enterprise testing utilizing Wiremock, Hoverfly, Jmeter and BlazeMeter; support of applications within a production environment using Grafana, Splunk and DynatraceImplementing Micro services using Spring Boot and Event Driven architecture using Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS; working with REST, JSON, XML Web APIs developmentWorking with Spring MVC, Spring data and Spring SecurityWorking with testing frameworks including Cucumber, Selenium, and Junit; working with mock testing frameworks such as Mockito; Working with SQL and Databases such as Oracle, AWS Aurora, MySQL, etc.
