As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

 

Job responsibilities

Own the technical strategy and architecture for mission-critical applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practicesLead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunitiesDrive the design and implementation of high-performance backend services using Java and cloud-native technologiesChampion the development of highly resilient, share-nothing, multi-region architectures to achieve fault tolerance, high availability, and disaster recoveryDrive the adoption and optimization of MongoDB (including change streams), Kubernetes, and other modern platformsSet and enforce standards for API design and development (REST/gRPC), including best practices for versioning, documentation, and error handling to ensure robust, secure, and scalable interfacesGuide the integration and management of service registries for dynamic service discovery and orchestration in micro services environmentsPromote the creation of custom frameworks and reusable components to accelerate development and maintain consistencyFoster Agile, self-managing team practices, driving continuous improvement in processes, tools, and standardsManage project delivery, ensuring timelines, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction while identifying and mitigating technical risksRepresent the engineering team in strategic discussions, influencing technology decisions and roadmap planning

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceExtensive experience in Java and object-oriented programmingProven leadership in Kubernetes and cloud-native application developmentDeep expertise in MongoDB, including change streams and schema designStrong background in RESTful and gRPC API design and implementationDemonstrated experience with API best practices and service registry conceptsTrack record of designing highly resilient, share-nothing, multi-region architecturesAbility to architect and promote custom frameworks and reusable componentsExperience leading Agile, self-managing teamsExcellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills  Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldProven experience in senior leadership or engineering management rolesHands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practicesUI development experience with modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar
