Developing on Tandem in a hands-on technical leadership capacityRegularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendorsDevelops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersDrives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processesServes as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focusActively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software  Development Life CycleInfluences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies

 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on TANDEM/NonStop engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceAdvanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplinesUnderstanding of architecture and design across all systemsWorking proficiency in developmental toolsetsKnowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practicesAbility to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goalsPassionate about building an innovative cultureAssist in planning, architecture, analysis and design of enterprise technology solutions that satisfy business requirements for large complex systems.Hands-on TANDEM/NonStop Systems development using Tools and Languages including TAL, TACL, Tandem COBOL, TANDEM C++, ENSCRIBE, ENFORM, TANDEM pathway, Tandem internal messaging system, FUP, BATCHCOM, SQLCI, Host security module, tokenization and encryption
