As a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Chief Data & Analytics - AIML Data Platforms Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Designs and develops creative software solutions, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsDevelops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLeads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureLeads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectDevelops collaborative relationships with local and remote Application Development Teams and a Global Platform Engineering Organization.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceHands-on experience with one or more cloud computing platform providers AWS/Azure/GCPAdvanced knowledge of Containerization and Container Runtime/Orchestration platforms (Docker/Kubernetes/ECS etc)Hands-on experience with Cloud Infrastructure Provisioning Tools like Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane & Cloud Formation etcProficiency with programming languages like Golang, Python, Java, JS/TS etc and understand software development best practicesAbility to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversightExperience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical fieldPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience developing automated solutions and scripts using Python to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.Experience deploying, managing, and optimizing infrastructure on AWS Cloud, including familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS
