Job responsibilities
Plays a pivotal role in setting the roadmap and overseeing the day-to-day management of platform/environment management, setting strategies and overseeing the public cloud resources, provisioning, optimization etc.,Maintains deep understanding of the technical aspects of platform and provide operational leadership to the engineering and product team.Implements robust processes and operations dashboard to monitor the platform performance, user feedback and adherence to service level agreements (SLA), resiliency and key operational metrics in real-time.Develops strong partnership with controls, technology risk management, architecture and compliance to understand the firms requirement and influence/contribute to the maturity of the firms capabilities.Manages and builds high performing team, and retain strong talent on the team.Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendorsDevelops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersDrives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processesServes as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focusActively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life CycleInfluences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceExtensive engineering and programming experience in open source technologiesSignificant hands on programming experience in public cloud - AWS.Solid hands on experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) platform - Terraform.Advanced in one or more programming language(s): Java / PythonAdvanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversightPractical cloud native experienceExperience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
