As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Aligning technical strategy with other partner teams across the bank to deliver a complete and coherent experience for Athena DevelopersExecute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsPartner with a global team of engineers through a transformation of the Athena Core Platform to a resilient and scalable cloud based architectureIdentify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceWorking knowledge of load balancing and service orchestration, both on-prem and in public cloud environmentsProficient in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Python, JavaAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityPractical Cloud-native and Kubernetes experienceIn-depth knowledge of Infrastructure as Code such as TerraformAdd to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
 Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Experience running Kubernetes (AWS EKS) at large scale for financial organizations where scaling, resiliency, security, monitoring and audit trail etc. will be prioritizedHands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code products, preferably TerraformExperience in one or more public cloud platforms (ideally AWS)Experience in DevOps will be considered an advantage
