As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank organization, you will play a crucial role as part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.
Job responsibilities
Partners with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and define future strategies for architecture and application developmentCollaborates with stakeholders to onboard new marketing tools, guiding them through firmwide onboarding processes to enhance user engagementTranslates business and functional requirements into technical designs aligned with enterprise-level architecture standardsDevelops and maintains Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) components to support high-availability, high-traffic sitesDiagnoses, debugs, and resolves technical issues related to CMS implementation and complex system integrationsCollaborates with cross-functional technical teams on application deployment, performance optimization, monitoring, reliability, and scalability Design and develop reusable templates, components, and services in partnership with technology, product, and business teamsBuilds and optimizes web user interfaces using AEM and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React), ensuring cross-browser/platform compatibility and speedWorks closely with design, business analysis, project management, and content teams to ensure technical feasibility, design quality, and timely delivery of web assets Supports global teams across time zones and collaborate on A/B testing, requirements definition, and cross-platform design initiatives
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityHands-on coding experience in Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIsExperience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) architecture, components, templates, and workflowsDemonstrated knowledge of architecture and design across all systemsProficiency in automation and continuous delivery methodsProficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life CycleAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsKnowledge of cybersecurity best practices Strong understanding of SEO, web analytics, and performance optimization
