The Lead Software Engineer will assist in the modernization of our Identity & Access Management (IAM) data platforms and applications. This role will drive the transformation of legacy SQL environments into a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Lakehouse architecture, enabling scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions.

In this role, you will:

Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impactAct as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplinesDesign, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programsReview and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factorsMake decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiativesCollaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goalsLead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor


Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

Expertise in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or Go); strong API development skillsHands-on experience with cloud-native development and GCP (or similar cloud platforms)Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Strong understanding of IAM concepts, security best practices, and complianceExperience with data engineering, distributed systems, and PySparkKnowledge of data integration, governance, and modern data architectures (data lakes/lakehouses)Proven ability to lead application modernization and cloud migration projectFamiliarity with semantic modeling and consumption patternsExperience with .NET and SQL Server is a plusExcellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
