As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Responsibility/Morgan Health in Corporate Technology, you play a vital role in an agile team dedicated to improving, developing, and delivering reliable, market-leading technology products with security, stability, and scalability. As a key technical contributor, you will be tasked with implementing essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's objectives.
Job responsibilities
Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsDevelops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLeads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureLeads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respectRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience7+ years of full stack development experience Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityAdvanced experience in Java, Springboot, Microservices, ReactJSProficiency in automation and continuous delivery methodsProficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life CycleAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Hands-on experience with AWS technologiesExperience using and integrating AI tools such as LLM into technology solutionsPractical cloud native experiencePreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsPostgreSQLUnderstanding of TerraformIn-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
