As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Consumer and Community Banking, you play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products with a focus on security, stability, and scalability.
Job responsibilities
Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsDevelops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLeads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureLeads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityProficiency in automation and continuous delivery methodsProficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle. End-to-end understanding of CI/CD for both backend and frontend technologies.Proficient in designing and developing applications in .NET. Experience working on distributed, highly available and resilient applications. Working knowledge of various tools of SDLC like Jenkins, SonarQube, PactFlow, JFrog.Proficient in cloud technologies and services. AWS services like EC2, Route53, S3, Cloud Trail, CloudWatch, CloudFront, DynamoDB, Secret Manager, Parameter Store, Lambda etc.Ability to automate manual infrastructure setup using IaC using CloudFormation or Terraform.Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Working on monorepos and exposure to build and deployment for them.Prior experience working on platform teams
