Get to Know the Team

The Grab Support team builds the platform that helps millions of passengers, driver-partners, and merchants when they need assistance. Our mission is to understand user problems and deliver solutions that resolve them quickly, seamlessly, and at scale. We combine machine learning models that interpret user intent with automation flows able to process and resolve issues end-to-end. This involves everything from natural language understanding and model development to workflow orchestration and system integration across Grab's ecosystem.

Get to Know the Role

We are looking for an experienced and experienced Engineering Lead, Fullstack to join our dynamic team in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. As the Engineering Lead, you will oversee the development of our cutting-edge software solutions, leading a team of experienced engineers, and driving technical projects across our organization. You will report to the Engineering Manager of Grab Support Engineering team and work onsite in CMC Creative Space office, HCMC.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

Lead and mentor a team of fullstack developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvementCollaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define technical requirements and architectural decisionsOversee the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and maintenanceEstablish coding standards, development processes, and quality assurance practicesConduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team membersOptimize application performance, security, and reliabilityStay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing improvements as neededParticipate in technical decision-making and contribute to the overall technology strategy of the organizationManage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure on-time and high-quality releases

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field;7+ years of experience in fullstack development, with a command of both frontend and backend technologiesExpertise in programming languages such as JavaScript, C#, Python or GolangProficiency in modern web frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js, and Django)Knowledge of database management systems, both SQL and NoSQLExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCPExperience with shift-left testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and automated testingUnderstanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelinesExperience delivering complex software projects using Agile methodologiesExcellent system architecture and design skills, with the ability to create scalable and distributed systemsExperience approaching a problem from different angles, analyzing pros and cons of different solutions, experience writing clean, concise code with commentsExperience in performance optimization and implementing security best practicesCommunication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teamsVisionary mindset with the ability to drive innovation and technical projects.Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and industry best practices
