Job Description

As a First Shift Machine Assembly / Service Installation Technician Lead, you will oversee project builds and installations of industrial equipment at customer locations across the country. You will lead a team responsible for building and installing highly automated manufacturing equipment onsite, managing both in-house and subcontracted technicians. This role involves comprehensive responsibility from customer bid to build and installation, typically managing a team of 3-6 technicians, depending on project size.

ResponsibilitiesOversee and lead the install team while traveling to client sites, including both in-house and subcontracted technicians.Manage all activities from Customer Bid to Build and Installation, leading a team of 3-6 technicians based on project size.Demonstrate strong technical expertise in building panels, machines, and systems using schematics and mechanical drawings.Install wire trays and conduits, troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical components.Coordinate project priorities, resource needs, and timelines with the Assembly Manager to meet high standards for quality and client satisfaction.Lead by example within the assembly team, offering mentorship and guidance to encourage continuous skill development and excellence.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and program control systems for custom automation projects.Maintain regular communication with clients throughout project phases, providing updates and addressing inquiries to ensure alignment with expectations.Apply advanced technical skills to build, troubleshoot, and commission custom automation systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards.Install wire tray and cable management systems, bend and install conduit, and manage cabling and pneumatic tubing.Essential Skills4+ years of experience in industrial automation assembly with demonstrated leadership experience.Experience building panels, machines, and systems using schematics and mechanical drawings.Experience installing wire trays and conduits, troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical components.Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.Valid driver’s license.Ability to read and understand mechanical/pneumatic drawings and electrical schematics.Experience in machine and panel building, conduit installation, and VFD/480V motor systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsProject management skills.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering collaboration and driving performance.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
