Lead Product Manager – Enterprise Search & AI Platforms

We are seeking an experienced **Lead Product Manager** to drive the evolution of key **enterprise information discovery platforms** into the age of **Generative AI** . This role will leverage cutting‑edge technology to transform how internal users navigate, explore, and derive insights from a vast ecosystem of structured and unstructured data—enabling faster, more informed decision‑making across the organization.
**Work Location**
+ **Hybrid schedule** : 3 days onsite per week
+ **Locations** : McLean, VA or Rockville, MD
+ Long term contract to hire.
**Major Purpose**
The **Lead Product Manager** owns the **vision, strategy, roadmap, and feature definition** for enterprise search and data‑aggregation platforms, including internal **Enterprise Search** and **Person & Organization 360** ‑style capabilities. This role is responsible for defining product outcomes and roadmaps for **AI‑ and GenAI‑enabled product evolution** , as well as planning and managing product features through the full product development lifecycle.
The position manages and prioritizes **product backlogs** for multiple information discovery products, making informed product decisions based on user needs, stakeholder expectations, and enterprise objectives.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Define and communicate clear **product vision and strategy** for internal enterprise search and information discovery platforms
+ Own and maintain the **product roadmap** , aligning feature delivery with business goals and AI transformation initiatives
+ Lead **GenAI integration efforts** , including AI‑ready data exposure, intelligent search, semantic discovery, and AI‑assisted navigation
+ Manage and prioritize product backlogs, translating complex requirements into actionable features and user stories
+ Partner with engineering, data, AI, UX, and stakeholder teams throughout the product development lifecycle
+ Drive continuous product improvement through user feedback, usage analytics, and performance metrics
+ Balance technical considerations, user experience, and regulatory or operational constraints when making product decisions
**Required Experience**
+ Proven experience as a **Lead or Senior Product Manager**
+ **Hands‑on ownership of internal enterprise search platforms** (not customer‑facing only)
+ Strong experience delivering products powered by **Generative AI** or AI‑enabled capabilities
+ Experience managing complex data ecosystems involving **structured and unstructured data**
+ Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
+ Experience working in **hybrid, enterprise environments**
