Lead Process Engineer

Nammo Energetics (NEI) is the division of Nammo Group responsible for the establishment of a solid rocket motor manufacturing facility located in Perry, Florida adjacent to the existing Nammo Perry Inc facility. NEI will oversee the design, construction, qualification, and personnel staffing for the facility which targets initial production in 2027. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our growing team. This person will play a pivotal role in partnering with our Norway facility to plan and design manufacturing processes and production workflows for our new solid rock motor facility. The Process Engineer will work closely with design, safety, quality, and maintenance engineering groups to ensure efficiency and quality at each stage of production. This position is on-site at the Nammo Energetics Office in Downtown, Perry, Florida and requires frequent travel to Raufoss, Norway for one – three week time periods within the first 12-18 months. You must be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (Requires U.S. Citizenship). Unique Benefits Designed with Care: + Monday - Thursday work week working 10-hour days + Relocation assistance provided + 401(K) with a 6% company match + 100% Employer-Paid Employee Only Medical Plan Option + Employer Health Saving Account Contributions + Generous PTO + nine paid holidays annually What You’ll Do: Precision in Action + Plan and designs manufacturing processes and production workflow + Prepares plans, process specifications and procedures + Works with tooling engineer to implement assembly fixtures, tooling and equipment + Prepares labor estimates and tooling/equipment estimates for proposals + Conducts test and/or analyzes new manufacturing methods, materials, processes or standards + Compiles and evaluates test and production data and provides recommendations for process improvements + Conceives and plans projects involving major production activities, exploration of product and/or process problems + Coordinates technical matters relating to assembly drawing interpretation, Engineering Change Notices, rework and manufacturing specifications + Evaluates and defines efforts to eliminate defects and reduce costs + Performs Design for Manufacture/Design for Assembly (DFM/DFA) studies in coordination with Project Engineering + Write work instructions that are complete and accurate + Participate in design reviews to ensure contract requirements are incorporated and can be verified through design, qualification, inspection, software or test + Supports production activities What Dedicated Teammates Bring + Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience. + To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Visio. + Ability to maintain attention to detail under stress, and the ability to understand and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Our Woking Conditions and Requirements + Must submit to and pass a drug test pursuant to Company Drug-Free Workplace Policy + Must have good vision (may be corrected) + Must be able to communicate written and verbally + Must be able to travel. + Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods of time, and be able to lift up to 20 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation. + Must be willing and able to work outside of the standard work schedule, including nights and weekends. + Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (Requires U.S. Citizenship). + Must be able to obtain BATF approval to work with our products.
