Lead the Australia People Organisation team Strategic and influential role shaping and delivering the talent strategy Full‑time opportunity with flexibility Lead People Partner As a key member of the Australia leadership team, the Lead People Partner will collaborate closely with Regional Centre of Excellence leaders to deliver the global people strategy, aligned to local business priorities and Aon United values. Reporting to the Asia Pacific Deputy Chief People Officer, this role blends strategic leadership with hands‑on execution. You will guide the design and implementation of the people and talent strategy, strengthen talent capabilities, and foster a high‑performing, inclusive culture that supports long‑term business growth. What the day will look like As the Lead People Partner, you will plan, develop and measure the success of the people strategy for the Australia business while remaining actively involved in day‑to‑day delivery. Key responsibilities include: Building strong, influential relationships across a complex environment to deliver tailored people solutions that meet business needs. Leading annual Talent and Performance Management, Compensation, Succession Planning and Leadership Development processes. Contributing to global initiatives, representing local needs, and ensuring clear communication between regional and local teams. Acting as the primary partner to the Australian Leadership team for all colleague lifecycle matters, while managing a small team of Business Partners. Partnering with Talent Acquisition to drive a forward‑looking resourcing strategy that supports growth and delivers on Inclusion commitments. Providing thought leadership and guidance to segment or enterprise‑wide teams developing organisational change initiatives. Influencing and coaching Business Partners and leaders through expertise, judgment and data‑driven insights to elevate employee experience and business performance. Experience consulting on policy and process, with the ability to identify trends and shape proactive solutions. Project management and people leadership experience within a large, complex organisation. A proven ability to implement and embed people programs such as performance management, succession planning, inclusion, wellbeing and workforce planning. An empowering leadership style that encourages open dialogue, collaboration and shared ownership of outcomes. Exceptional communication skills and executive presence.
