Our client, in the Plattsburgh area is seeking a Lead Operator to join their team. As a Lead Operator you will work closely with the Production Department. The ideal candidate will have excellent attendance, extremely reliable, and excellent work ethic skills which will align successfully with in the company. **Job Title: Lead Operator** **Location: Plattsburgh NY** **Pay: TBD** **What’s the Job?** + 12hr overnight shift temp to perm position + Total supervision of shift activities and personnel + Develops and trains assigned personnel, assisting them with problems concerning “how to” perform specific tasks related to their job + Communicate and confirm daily schedules, emails and recommend changes on a daily basis with department manager + Initiates maintenance work orders, complete production paperwork as required, accurately and timely. Performs all duties and tasks assigned **What’s Needed?** + Requires the ability to perform all of the skill sets within the department, including Lead Operator, Assistant Operator and Helper to the extent that he/she can train others. + Requires the ability to perform simple arithmetic functions consistently and accurately to include but not limited to the following: percentages, proportions, mass, volume, run rates, averages and gauge readings. + Ability to work varied shifts depending on organizational requirements and customer commitments. + High school diploma or equivalent is required + Prior work experience in a plastic manufacturing/extruding environment preferred + While performing the duties of this job, it is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel material. Requires the ability to see/hear warning alarms. This job requires walking, stooping, bending and twisting, and kneeling. The employee is regularly exposed to extreme heat and high noise levels.
