Lead Multimedia Creator (Remote)

Are you ready to shape the future of sports storytelling? Scripps Sports is seeking a Lead Multimedia Creator who will craft compelling, high-impact content that captivates audiences across all platforms. This is your opportunity to lead innovative sports coverage while working with some of the biggest names in athletics—all from the comfort of your home office.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Lead research and pitch development of original content stories for Scripps Sports with measurable team and organizational impact

Set up interviews for long features, taped shows, live game interviews and studio show guests

Research, shoot, produce, and edit sports features for Scripps Sports

Routinely direct the research, shooting, producing, and editing of high-profile sports features and segments for Scripps Sports broadcasts

Innovate and Lead original live approach to sports coverage

Assist digital team in creating original and engaging sports content for social media

Create and maintain consistent shooting style and standard for features and taped programming

Build relationships with team and league public relations representatives

Represent Scripps Sports at the highest level during all shoots and interactions with players and leagues

Develop and execute features calendars in collaboration with stakeholders

Shoot and edit taped programming

Lead post-production processes for taped programming to ensure quality control and timely delivery

Research, recommend, and implement new photography and video technologies to enhance broadcasts and content creation

Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred

Generally, 8+ years of experience in related field preferred

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Significant knowledge with experience in one or more multimedia disciplines

Mastery of shooting, audio, and lighting for video photography

Mastery of non-linear editing in FinalCut, Adobe Premiere or comparable software

Ability to creatively solve complex production challenges using professional concepts aligned with company objectives

Skilled in building professional relationships and leading collaborative content creation efforts

Proficient in identifying, researching, and setting up stories and segments with a high level of detail

Ability to learn and master new types of cameras and photography equipment
