Lead MRO Buyer
Job Title: MRO Buyer Job Description This role is vital for procuring all MRO materials, services, and CAPEX projects by effectively quoting and sourcing within budget. The MRO Buyer will manage supplier relationships and oversee all aspects of stockroom operations. Utilizing ERP and inventory management tools, the successful candidate will ensure cost-effective sourcing, supplier performance, and inventory accuracy to maintain operational uptime. Responsibilities + Procure MRO materials, services, and CAPEX projects through efficient quoting and sourcing. + Manage supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performance. + Oversee stockroom operations to ensure inventory accuracy and operational uptime. + Utilize ERP systems and inventory management tools to streamline processes. + Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and accounting teams. + Implement cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement strategies. + Manage responsibilities extending to additional locations, offering broader scope and visibility. Essential Skills + Experience in indirect procurement and inventory management. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. + Familiarity with ERP systems, such as SAP. + Strong communication and self-management skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with FIX Purchasing system. + Knowledge of DSSI and working in a fast-paced, automotive, or similar manufacturing environment. + Experience as a stockroom supplier and conducting cycle counts. Work Environment The position is based in a manufacturing/industrial setting, primarily office-based with occasional requirements to check on inventory levels and connect with the stockroom team. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
