As a Lead Data Scientist within the Employee Platform’s Innovation Studio Team, you will be a key contributor, working closely with the Workforce Business and Technology team to tackle complex business challenges. You will employ advanced machine learning and generative AI techniques, utilizing a big data approach to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency in areas such as workforce, payroll, and compensation. Your expertise in data science will be crucial in developing innovative solutions and tools that deliver significant results across the organization. Success in this role requires a combination of technical proficiency, business insight, effective communication, and collaboration with senior stakeholders to achieve our organizational objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
Communicate and interface with senior stakeholders, leveraging analytical skills and business acumen to drive impactful results that inform strategic decisionsCommit to iterative development, engaging and updating stakeholders bi-weekly or as necessary, ensuring alignment, feedback incorporation, and transparency throughout the project lifecycleDevelop insights, methods, or tools using various analytic methods such as causal-model approaches, predictive modeling, regressions, machine learning, time series analysis, etcHandle large amounts of data from multiple and disparate sources, employing advanced Python and SQL techniques to ensure efficiency and accuracyOwn projects, manage stakeholders, and develop projects from inception to completion, encompassing tasks such as gathering detailed requirements, data preparation, model creation, result generation, and data visualizationDevelop and deploy machine learning models and generative AI capabilitiesDesign, code, test, and debug applicationsLead, mentor, and develop a team of technical professionalsUphold the highest standards of data integrity and security, aligning with both internal and external regulatory requirements and compliance protocolsRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
BS Degree in a scientific field (Computer Science, Operations Research, etc.) and 7+ years of experience producing advanced analytics workExpertise in statistical software packages and data tools, including Python and SQLProficiency in advanced statistical methods and concepts, predictive modeling, time series forecasting, and text miningSkilled in data mining & visualizationRobust knowledge of basic data science libraries in Python (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, pyspark)Competent with deep-learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or KerasAbility to leverage traditional data science techniques and experience with data engineer pipelines for big dataKnowledge of RNNs, and LSTMs models Efficient storytelling capabilities, including communicating complex concepts into digestible information for audiences of varying levels in the organization.Committed to iterative development, updating stakeholders, ensuring alignment, feedback incorporation, and transparency throughout the project lifecyclePreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Masters or PHD in a related field. HR, Payroll, Incentive Compensation and other workforce related experience preferredExperience in big data platforms such as Databricks, AWS EMR, Sagemaker, Apache Glue, Spark, etcExperience/understanding of cloud storage (Object Stores like S3, Blob; NoSQL like Columnar, Graph databases)
