Lead Member of Technical Staff
**Job Description:** _JOB TITLE:_ Lead Member of Technical Staff _REMOTE TYPE: Office Worker_ _JOB LOCATION:_ 9505 Arboretum Blvd. Austin, TX 78759 _DUTIES:_ Responsible for creation and development of new advanced wireless concepts/technologies and evaluation of their potential for standardization and commercialization for the network in the future Research, design, plan, develop, and evaluate new and advanced network technologies. Translate requirements and strategic business objectives into final product designs. Assess network application needs and provide network modeling, prototyping, simulation testing, and consulting to clarify needs and deliver application functionality. Perform network product engineering assignments. Design, develop, document, and test network hardware, firmware, and software systems. Enhance and modify existing products and develop new products. Evaluate technologies using simulation platforms and prototype reference hardware designs as deemed necessary. Advise other organizations from the company during commercial deployment of 5G/5G-Advanced/6G networks. Work with cellular wireless systems and wireless physical layer including experience in wireless system modeling and simulation. Apply understanding of 3GPP based 4G/5G systems. Apply knowledge with RAN protocols such as LTE and 5G NR with emphasis on L1 and L2. Utilize AI/ML techniques to solve RAN problems. Research, develop, and test new technology concepts and ideas for wireless networks. _REQUIREMENTS:_ Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical and Computer Engineering and 1 year of experience in the job offered, or 1 year of experience in a related occupation researching, designing, planning, developing, and evaluating new and advanced network technologies; designing, developing, documenting, and testing network hardware, firmware, and software systems; working with cellular wireless systems and the wireless physical layer including experience in wireless system modeling and simulation; applying understanding of 3GPP based 4G/5G systems; applying knowledge with RAN protocols such as LTE and 5G NR with emphasis on L1 and L2; utilizing AI/ML techniques to solve RAN problems; researching, developing, and testing new technology concepts and ideas for wireless networks.
