Job Title: Lead Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
The Project Engineering Lead will be responsible for providing project management and engineering services to efficiently manage capital projects from inception through completion by following the company's Capital Process Management (CPM) process. This role focuses on supporting the company's Phosphates, mainly Concentrates, and potentially Mining Operations. The engineer will perform tasks such as preliminary and detailed project scoping, engineering design, scheduling, cost estimating, cost control, procurement, quality control (QA/QC), construction management, and supervision of contract engineers, consultants, designers, and construction teams. Collaboration with various groups, including operations, maintenance, technical services, legal, EHS, Commercial, Strategy, and other support teams, is essential to achieve strategic priorities. The focus will be on water management and co-products strategic projects. Additionally, the Lead Engineer will handle leadership reporting, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly presentations, along with project status reporting.
Responsibilities
Manage capital projects from inception through completion using the company's Capital Process Management process.Conduct preliminary and detailed project scoping, engineering design, scheduling, and cost estimation.Oversee cost control, procurement, quality control (QA/QC), and construction management.Supervise contract engineers, consultants, designers, and construction teams to achieve project goals.Collaborate with operations, maintenance, technical services, legal, EHS, Commercial, Strategy, and other support groups.Focus on water management and co-products strategic projects.Provide leadership reporting, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly presentations.Ensure adherence to company processes while meeting project and business objectives.Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial engineering fields preferred.10+ years of project management experience with medium to large scale ($20M- $100M) capital projects in industrial plants.Proficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Project, Primavera P6, and/or Maximo.Demonstrated project management skills.Experience managing multiple projects involving Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management.Strong problem-solving skills.Ability to manage strategic priorities and collaborate with multiple teams.Broad engineering and construction knowledge in all disciplines.Experience delivering projects in an operating plant or brownfield environment.Experience in case management, risk analysis, and integration of safety in design and construction.Additional Skills & Qualifications

The position is based on-site, operating Monday through Friday. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
