**Job Description**
We are seeking a motivated Lead Material Handler to guide a team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role involves overseeing material handling processes, utilizing reach trucks and stand-up forklifts, and managing ERP systems for efficient inventory control and production flow.
**Responsibilities**
+ Lead a team of Material Handlers by setting priorities, assigning tasks, and ensuring daily schedules are met.
+ Train new staff, mentor current team members, and reinforce company policies and safety protocols.
+ Coordinate material movement, staging, and inventory control to support efficient production flow.
+ Monitor team accuracy in pulling and documenting inventory for production orders.
+ Conduct and oversee routine cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
+ Track and report team performance metrics to management.
+ Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock.
+ Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
+ Document materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
**Essential Skills**
+ Material handling expertise.
+ Proficiency in picking processes.
+ Experience with ERP systems.
+ Proficiency in operating fork trucks and forklifts.
+ Leadership skills.
+ Stand-up forklift operation.
+ High school diploma, GED, or vocational training.
+ 5+ years of material handling or warehouse experience, including 1-2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
+ Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse best practices.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
+ Familiarity with inventory software systems.
+ Forklift certification and experience operating powered industrial trucks.
**Work Environment/Hours**
Work in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with a team-oriented culture. The facility hosts over 100 employees, with 13 dedicated to Material Handling. Regular working hours are 6am-2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime shifts starting as early as 4am. **Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
