What you’ll do:
The FirstNet Response Operations Group (ROG) Division Chiefs are available 24x7x365 in response to requests from public safety agencies. There are frequent weekend and evening hours required.
Pre-Incident:
Monitor provided systems/communications for reports of:
Emergency/unplanned network augmentation requirements affecting FirstNet customers
Requests for FirstNet deployable coverage for planned events (festivals, sports, parades, etc.)
Planned network maintenance outages affecting FirstNet customers
Directly interface with Network Disaster Recovery, GTOC, Sales, Radio Access Network, External Affairs, and other internal response partners
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including state and federal officials, within assigned region,
Participate in trade shows, panels and other events as requested by leadership and stakeholders
Maintain all assigned equipment
Response:
Intake and triage all public safety requests for connectivity support
Function as the Response Operations Incident Commander or Section Chief during an incident/event
Maintain “cradle-to-grave” visibility and responsibility for all deployments in assigned region
Monitor all applicable Key Performance Indicators and escalate when necessary to ensure compliance with all contractual obligations
Deploy as directed to emergent or planned events, potentially for several days
Develop Incident Actions Plans for planned and large-scale emergent events
Prepare and communicate Situation Reports as required
Communicate with public safety partners to ensure initial and ongoing requirements are met
What you’ll need:
The FirstNet ROG division supports our nation’s first responders in providing, operating, and assuring critical services for the full spectrum of public safety operations including coordination and direction of deployable FirstNet assets when the macro network is compromised or unavailable to public safety for any reason. You will be providing FirstNet deployable communication assets and other solutions to first responders where required.
What you’ll bring:
Required Experience:
5+ years of direct public safety experience
Required Qualifications:
Must be willing to live within the following states of FEMA region 9 (California, Nevada, Arizona)
Extensive experience in responding to and managing emergency events.
Demonstrated track record developing and maintaining relationships with public safety agencies.
Short notice long term travel
Must be willing to work 24x7x365, including evening hours and weekends
Valid driver’s license
Desired Education:
Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) preferred
Desired Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of mobile and core network operations
Demonstrated track record of transferring strategic thinking into tactical steps, with measurable outcomes.
Relationship management
Critical business and technical decision making
Experience working with municipal, county and state government
Excellent written and oral communications skills
