Lead Machine Operator
**Job Title: Machine Operator-Looking for skilled machine operators to lead a team of 3.** Job Description As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and monitoring of machines and equipment in a safe and productive manner. You will assure quality testing of the product, ensure proper raw material usage, and handle the packaging of finished products. Additionally, you will perform minor maintenance on machines and manage all necessary paperwork. You are expected to meet or exceed quality and production standards, and to contribute to a team environment by assisting others in their duties. You will also support OP1's with parts by preparing labels and getting them ready for shipping and receiving. Responsibilities + Setup, operate, and monitor machines and equipment safely and productively. + Conduct quality testing of products and ensure proper raw material usage. + Handle the packaging of finished products and perform minor machine maintenance. + Complete all necessary paperwork accurately. + Meet or exceed standards for quality and production. + Assist team members in their duties and contribute to a collaborative work environment. + Support OP1's with parts preparation, labeling, and readiness for shipping and receiving. Essential Skills + 3+ years of experience operating a machine in a manufacturing environment. + Experience with CNC, Plastic Injection, or Press machines. + Proficiency in documenting production, preferably using a computer. + Comprehensive quality experience beyond visual inspection. + Ability to perform blueprint and first piece last piece inspection. + Experience with gauges and micrometers. + Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist operators when needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications + General labor, machine operating, hand tool usage, quality inspection. + Knowledge of production, assembly, inspection, blueprint reading, general production, and packing. Work Environment Work in a manufacturing environment that is generally clean and bright, though it can sometimes be dirty, hot, cold, dusty, noisy, and greasy. Exercise a high degree of care and safety to prevent injuries. Openings available on 2nd shift (2:30pm - 10:30pm) and 3rd shift (10:30pm - 6:30am), with the requirement to work on weekends. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
