As a VP Engineer in the Markets CRM Platform team, you will lead a global group of engineers to design and deliver advanced technology solutions. You will architect and support both front-end and back-end services, ensuring our platforms remain secure, scalable, and innovative. You will foster a collaborative culture, drive technical excellence, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our systems. Your leadership will empower the Markets business and support our commitment to technology-driven success.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead the development and support of front-end and back-end services for the Markets CRM platformExecute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshootingCreate secure, high-quality production code and maintain robust algorithmsProduce architecture and design artifacts for complex applicationsGather, analyze, and synthesize data to drive continuous improvementIdentify and address hidden problems and patterns in data and systemsDrive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContribute to engineering communities of practice and technology events

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or formal training/certification in software engineering conceptsHands-on experience as a developer and technical leader in large corporate environmentsExpertise in Java fundamentals, object-oriented programming, multi-threading, messaging technologies, and computer networksExperience building high-performance, latency-sensitive Java applicationsUnderstanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security best practicesExperience developing, debugging, and maintaining code using modern programming and database querying languagesKnowledge of cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mobile technologiesExperience maintaining and troubleshooting software in Linux environments, with familiarity in containers and cloud architectures/servicesStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working in global teamsCommitment to continuous learning and improvement

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Familiarity with modern front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.jsExposure to cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, or GCPExperience with Python and front-end developmentPractical experience with FIX messaging protocol and QuickFIX/JFamiliarity with Hazelcast or other distributed computing platformsExperience with distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures
