About this Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to help drive customer focused technology innovation across our digital platforms. In this role, you will help deliver stable, secure, scalable, and innovative systems that support 24/7 global banking access. You will work within the Digital Technology and Innovation organization, partnering across teams to advance automation, strengthen CI CD capabilities, and streamline delivery processes.
In this role, you will:
• Lead complex initiatives to develop infrastructure to provide solutions for business applications
• Participate in various projects intended to continually improve or upgrade the infrastructure
• Evaluate internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals
• Review and analyze high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future
• Design, build, deploy and maintain infrastructure solutions through collaborative efforts with the team and third party vendors
• Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
• Deep understanding of industry SDLC standards to analyze existing standards in Dev ops and augment the standards
• Work with a team of engineers through technical analysis, design, construction, deployment, and support of scalable software delivery automation solutions. Conduct design and code reviews as part of the solution development process
• Make decisions in technical designs, implementation plans and identify project risks and resource requirements
• Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
• Recommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and achieve results
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
• Interact with customer and vendor
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 5+ years of Automation experience
• 5+ years Linux experience
• 5+ years programming experience with scripting languages. Must be fluent in at least two of the following: bash, python, perl, ruby
• 3+ years of Automation Experience with Ansible (preferred), Chef, Puppet, Terraform, or Robotics Process Automation platform
• 3+ years of experience in DevSecOps toolchains and automation to achieve CI CD, Blue Green deployments, feature toggles Git, Jenkins, uDeploy
• 3+ years with Agile Scrum Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings and Kanban
• 3+ years with two or more of Grafana, Prometheus, ELK or SPLUNK, AppDynamics or Dynatrace
• Experience in Service Now
Desired Qualifications:
• Detail oriented self starter capable of working independently
• Experience with private or public cloud technology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to document and design proposals
• Expert in writing software packaging and deploying into a fully automated environment
Job Expectations:
• Ability to travel up to 10 percent of the time
• This position offers a hybrid work schedule
