Key Responsibilities
SAM Pro Implementation: Design and configure the ServiceNow SAM Pro module, including entitlements, software models, and discovery patterns. Tier-1 Publisher Management: Utilize and customize specialized Publisher Packs to manage complex licensing for:o Microsoft: Managing Office 365 SaaS consumption, SQL Server core-based licensing, and Windows Server infrastructure reports.
o Oracle: Configuring database cluster views, managing Oracle-specific reconciliation, and generating Effective License Position (ELP) reports.
o IBM: Integrating with IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT) to track PVU-based licensing and ensuring compliance for IBM software products.
Shopping Cart & Procurement:o Integrate SAM with the ServiceNow Shopping Hub and Service Catalog to automate software requests.
o Develop workflows that automate license reclamation and software deployment upon catalog approval.
o Configure the Asset Management-Procurement Integration to automate entitlement creation from purchase orders.
Optimization & Compliance: Develop dashboards and automated "reclamation candidates" to identify underutilized software for cost savings.Technical Qualifications
ServiceNow Expertise: Proficiency in JavaScript (ServiceNow API), Business Rules, Script Includes, and Flow Designer. Integrations: Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and Integration Hub to connect with external vendor portals and inventory tools. Data Management: Skilled in using Transform Maps and Data Loads to ingest bulk entitlement data from legacy systems. Certifications: Typically requires ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS-SAM).
Preferred Experience
Direct experience with SaaS License Management for cloud-based vendors. Knowledge of ITIL v4 frameworks, particularly Service Request and Asset Management.Mandatory Skills:
