Job Title: ServiceNow Portal Developer
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow Portal Development experience
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Portal Developer with strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining ServiceNow portals that deliver intuitive, user-centric experiences. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Service Portal, Employee Center, UI Builder, and AngularJS-based development, and will work closely with UX designers, architects, and backend developers to deliver scalable portal solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Portal Design & Development
Design, develop, and enhance ServiceNow Service Portal and Employee Center experiences. Build and customize portal pages, widgets, themes, and layouts. Develop reusable and scalable custom widgets using AngularJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Customize portal branding, styling, and responsiveness to align with organizational standards.UI Builder & Modern UI
Create and maintain Workspace and UI Builder experiences for modern ServiceNow UI. Configure components, layouts, data resources, and client logic within UI Builder. Optimize user journeys across portals and workspaces.Integration with ServiceNow Platform
Integrate portals with Service Catalog, Knowledge Base, ITSM, HRSD, CSM, and custom applications. Work with server-side scripts (Script Includes, Business Rules) to support portal functionality. Ensure secure data access using ACLs, roles, and client/server validation.Performance, Accessibility & Best Practices
Ensure portal performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility. Implement responsive design and accessibility best practices (WCAG standards). Follow ServiceNow UI/UX standards and platform best practices.Collaboration & Delivery
Collaborate with UX designers to convert wireframes and mockups into functional portals. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, and reviews. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior portal developers. Support UAT, production deployments, and post-go-live enhancements.Required Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow Portal Development. Strong expertise in: ServiceNow Service Portal Employee Center Custom widget development Strong hands-on experience with: AngularJS JavaScript HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap Experience working with: UI Builder Script Includes Business Rules Client Scripts Solid understanding of ServiceNow platform security, including ACLs and roles. Experience integrating portals with Service Catalog, Knowledge, ITSM, HRSD, or CSM modules.Nice-to-Have / Preferred Skills:
Experience with Agent Workspace or Now Experience Framework. Familiarity with Figma, Adobe XD, or other UX design tools. Exposure to ATF (Automated Test Framework). Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.Certifications (Preferred):
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) UI/UX or Front-End certificationsSoft Skills:
