A ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM) Developer responsible for aligning IT infrastructure with business outcomes. This role focuses on the structural integrity of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and the migration from legacy application silos to a service-centric model.
Core Responsibilities
CSDM Framework Leadership: Implement the latest ServiceNow CSDM framework (Version 6.0 standards) to ensure data consistency across the platform. Application-to-Service Conversion: Lead the complex transition of Business Applications (Design Domain) into Technical Service Offerings (Manage Technical Services Domain) to enable accurate cost modelling and risk assessment. Logical Mapping: Define relationships between Business Applications, Application Services, and Technical Services to ensure clear ownership and operational visibility. Best Practice Governance: Establish data governance standards to prevent CMDB "bloat" and ensure every CI (Configuration Item) follows a managed lifecycle. Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and Service Owners to map business capabilities to underlying infrastructure through Service Portfolio Management.
Key Technical Skills
ServiceNow Architecture: Deep expertise in the ServiceNow CMDB architecture and the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE). Service Mapping: Proficiency in using Service Mapping (Top-down and Tag-based) to automate the discovery of Technical Services. Digital Product Management: Experience implementing the Digital Product concept within CSDM to bridge the gap between IT development and business value. Integration Hub: Ability to use Integration Hub to pull data from external sources (e.g., Cloud consoles, Monitoring tools) into the CSDM structure. EXP: 6+ YEARMandatory Skills:
