Lead HVAC Installer
**Job Title: Lead HVAC Installer** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Lead HVAC Installer specializing in sheet metal installation. The role involves bending, joining, hammering, and cutting sheet metal to fabricate and install ductwork in new and renovated commercial buildings. Responsibilities include working from construction documents, creating ductwork on-site, and installing it according to the plans. The position is also known as a tin knocker, and requires the ability to drive to job sites up to 40 miles from Grand Rapids. **Responsibilities** + Install HVAC ductwork in commercial buildings. + Create and install ductwork on-site according to construction documents. + Drive to job sites located within a 40-mile radius of Grand Rapids. + Collaborate with a team of 2-10 partners to meet daily installation goals. + Work alongside other trades during active production environments. **Essential Skills** + 3-5 years of experience in HVAC ductwork installation. + 3-5 years of experience in reading blueprints. + 3-5 years of experience in commercial building projects. + Reliable transportation for commuting to projects in West Michigan. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of service HVAC systems and controls. + Ability to troubleshoot existing equipment issues. + Leadership experience with apprentices and training. + Proficient in using hand tools such as hammers, tape measures, screwdrivers, and cutters. **Why Work Here?** Join a rapidly growing, employee-owned company where you can earn shares and receive yearly stock bonuses based on the company's performance. PPE such as steel toes, hard hats, safety glasses, reflective vests, and basic sheet metal tools are required, though additional tools will be provided as needed. Projects are construction-based, located in Battle Creek, Holland, Muskegon, and Comstock areas, requiring collaboration with a team in active production facilities. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
