We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join existing team in Belgrade. This position reports to a Technical Manager—you will collaborate with stake holders and colleagues—while leading innovations across our ecosystem.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

Minimum 6 years of professional software development experience in Java on backend, including a minimum of 3 years working with JavaScript frameworks (Angular or React) on frontend

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field and/or equivalent experience

Proficiency in English

It would be great if you also have…

Experience working with AWS

Experience with MongoDB (NoSQL) database

What will you be doing in this role?

Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in accordance with coding standards.

Review other code to ensure clean, efficient, and maintainable code. Define architecture of software solution.

Implements software for specifications of high complexity for limited scale systems, or medium to high complexity for large-scale systems.

Responds to direct or indirect customer inquiries regarding function and design and attends customer meetings.

Writes application technical documentation.

Participates as a team member on various engineering projects and may lead small projects

The Vega Discover project which is a very forward-thinking engagement and customer relations suite of tools for public libraries, to help library administrators reach out to and involve both their patrons and their communities in with more directed and personalized interactions.

About the Team

You will be joining one of our agile development teams and will work alongside developers, and QA engineers already in Belgrade as well as in US.

Hours of Work

This is a permanent, full-time position, with core engagement hours within CET time zone. This is a hybrid position; you will be expected to work from our Belgrade office 3 days every other week.
