Lead Full Stack Software Engineer - Python and React

As a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Technology, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

 

Job responsibilities

Leads the strategy for our UI estate, driving best practices on UX, architecture and integration with our Back end componentsExecutes creative software solutions, design, develop and innovate across a full stack suite of applications.Thinks beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsEngages directly with our Product Owners and stakeholders to drive the delivery of novel solutionsMentors and guides the next generation of software engineersDevelops secure high-quality production code, and collaborate with peers to review and debug codeIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsInvestigates and triages new technologies that can provide benefit to the platform, engage with senior partners to introduce these to the stackAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experienceAdvanced Full Stack development experience in Python and Django with strong proficiency in ReactHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityProficiency in automation and continuous delivery methodsProficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life CycleAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systemsPractical cloud native experience

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Knowledge of PySpark & Databricks is desirableKnowledge with MQ, Kafka
