POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Lead Electrical / Power Electronics Engineer to serve as a technical authority for advanced high-voltage, high-power power electronics systems used in semiconductor and industrial applications. This role is focused on system architecture, platform strategy, and complex problem solving across multiple products.
As a Lead Engineer, you will operate with broad autonomy and influence, guiding technical direction, setting engineering standards, and solving the most challenging power electronics problems in the organization. Success in this role is defined by system robustness, scalability, and long-term technology impact—not short-term firefighting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Leadership & Architecture
Define system-level architectures for high-voltage, high-power, digitally controlled switch-mode power supplies Lead design trade-offs across topology, control strategy, magnetics, insulation, and thermal design Establish best practices and design standards for power electronics and high-voltage systems across product lines
Advanced Design & Development
Develop and validate advanced simulation models for complex power systems, including plasma and highly dynamic loads Guide digital power control strategies, working with firmware and control teams on stability, performance, and robustness Provide deep technical expertise in root-cause analysis of complex electrical, control, and reliability issues
Product & System Ownership
Provide technical oversight for multiple products or platforms from concept through production and field deployment Partner with product management, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure scalable and manufacturable designs Lead technical risk assessment and ensure compliance with applicable safety, EMC, and regulatory standards Cross-Functional & External Engagement Act as a senior technical interface with key customers, suppliers, and partners on system-level challenges Influence technology roadmaps and long-term platform strategies in collaboration with engineering leadership
Mentorship & Influence
