Roles and Responsibilities
As an Engine Dynamics Lead Engineer, you will:
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirementsProvide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned projectDocument technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and proceduresProvide timely communications on significant issues or developmentsParticipate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issuesParticipate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviewsAssure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and proceduresRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or universityAt least 3 additional years of experience in a design engineering positionDue to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship.Desired Characteristics
Familiarity with vibration analysis, vibration testing and rotor dynamics’ analysis methodsUnderstanding of NASTRAN, LSDYNA or other finite element computer codes (modeling and dynamic analysis)Familiarity with Matlab/PythonInterest in continuing to improve standard processes and improve best practicesStrong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systemsSolid oral and written communication skillsEffective problem identification and solution skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skillsLead initiatives of limited scope and impact.Ability to work several projects simultaneously.Proven analytical and organizational ability. Ability to influence others and work in small teamsThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
