Job Description SummaryThe Lead Controls Engineer will report directly to the Operations Manager in a new PSM-covered manufacturing facility in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is critical to driving business needs across the site, managing complex issues within functional areas of expertise, and will be heavily involved in identifying critical needs and the creation, implementation, and execution of key projects/solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

Modify various control platforms (PLC, HMI, Alarm Management and DCS) on the site as requiredSupport hardware and networking security and reliability initiativesSupport Engineers and maintenance in troubleshooting and commissioning of new equipmentLeads and supports Root Cause Failure Analysis and execute corrective actions for complex and/or repetitive problemsAid in data collection for development of strategic metrics for manufacturing improvementsProvides budget input, specifically to identify Infrastructure and Non-Routine spending requirementsSupports PHA and FMEA as Controls SME and develops recommended solutionsProvides input on project packages for feasibility, reliability, and maintainability prior to construction release

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or Associates Degree and relevant work experienceAbility and willingness to work off shift, as required.Ability to assume additional responsibilities, as required.
