Where is the work:

From Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues at our Tyler, TX facility. On Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires. 

What you will do: 

Develop manufacturing processes for new product introductions, enhancement and manufacturing footprint programs, using advanced engineering techniques such as DFM / DFA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly), FMEA, 3P (Production, Preparation Process), 7-Ways, factory modelling and simulation using Lean principles and associated tools.

Evaluate and implement innovative, cost effective, safe, manufacturing processes and techniques, which will improve the effectiveness of the manufacturing operations and business systems.  These processes include welding, brazing, stamping, forming, bonding, automation, coating, conveyance, refrigerant vacuum and charging, and general assembly.

Develop manufacturing plan, tooling, fixturing and equipment requirements and costs, capacity and capability requirements, control plans, and assessments.  Prepare and present project business cases for financial approval.  Follow procurement processes to create specifications and RFQ’s to procure necessary capital investments.

Provide technical expertise and leadership for the timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems. Serve as a resource for cause / effect analyses, investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.

Develop and implement manufacturing flows, workstation layouts and organization, and station controls, which optimize value added operations, operating costs, and product / process quality.

Collaborate with various functional team members to optimize design for manufacturability and ease of integration to manufacturing facility.

Project management knowledge and skills.  Estimates the time and resources required to complete a project for self and cross-functional partners. Maintains and uses lines of communication with other areas to keep project on track. Utilizes project management tools to track progress (GANTT and PERT charts, matrix, roadmaps).

Travel varies by project and phase and may require travel up to 50% for periods

What you will bring:

Bachelor’s Degree required (Engineering or Industrial discipline) and 5+ years of manufacturing work experience requiredPrevious project management experience, PMI PMP preferredExperience working with local Building Code officials including Authority Having Jurisdiction and Fire Marshall preferred

Essential Skills and/or Knowledge:

New product launch and project management experienceKnowledge of advanced quality and design techniquesKnowledge of life cycle cost analysis, dimensional capability analysis, and capacity analysisExperience in MEP (mechanical/electrical/plumbing) discipline, with an emphasis on code requirements for piping systems, power/electrical systems and fire protection piping and systems preferred

Industrial robotics and automation, welding/brazing process, and refrigerant management experience a plus.

This role is considered safety-sensitive

Compensation: 

Base Pay Range: $115,000-$150,000/annually

Additional Compensation: Annual Bonus/Incentive Potential
