Position Summary
The Lead Director, myPBM Client & Ecosystem is responsible for overseeing the Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) segment by managing, developing, and supporting web-based development platforms and infrastructure. In this role, you will work collaboratively with technical leaders, business stakeholders, Value Pool Product Managers/Owners, and engineering teams across diverse development environments to define strategic objectives and develop a comprehensive multi-year roadmap. You will also lead the SRE team, ensuring system stability and resiliency while aligning technology investments with the enterprise’s overall strategic objectives and technology roadmap.

You will be responsible for overseeing platform modernization and other strategic initiatives and ensuring the successful execution of engineering programs. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong technical background, exceptional management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
What you will do:
Lead and mentor both development & SRE teams while collaborating closely with IT infrastructure and business teamsOwn the end-to-end reliability, scalability, and performance of critical applications and services—ensuring internal users have seamless, secure, and efficient access to all client dataDevelop and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and robust monitoring and alerting mechanisms to quickly detect and remediate system issues across distributed environments.Provide vision, direction, and guidance to the Development and SRE organizations for PBM platforms, and aligning the IT resources, capabilities, and processes with the business needs and expectations. Partner with cross-functional teams to plan and implement infrastructure improvements, including capacity planning, disaster recovery, and performance optimization strategies that align with business and compliance requirements.Champion the use of best practices in incident management, conducting thorough root cause analyses and post-mortem reviews to continuously improve system reliability and operational efficiency.Collaborate across technology and business to lead the product transformation. Manage the delivery of the IT initiatives, ensuring the quality, design, timeliness, and budget adherence, and meeting the key OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicator). Manage the IT budget, resources, and vendors delivering the IT projects and services in alignment with OKRs Collaborate with the Value Pool leader and product stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations. Provide strategic guidance and support for the IT solutions. Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with the business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners, meeting the business requirements and expectations, and resolving any issues or escalations. Ensure the compliance of the systems and applications with the company policies, standards, and regulations, and identify, assess, and mitigate risks and controls. Drive innovation and continuous improvement solutions, leveraging best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies. Develop and mentor the team fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, agility, and innovation, and enhancing their skills and competencies.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information systems, or related field required. Master’s degree in a related field, a plus.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$144,200.00 - $288,400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
