Lead Director, Patient Growth

And we do it all with heart, each and every day. **Position Summary** Reporting to the Executive Director, Patient Growth, the Lead Director of Patient Growth – Retail RDA will be responsible for supporting, the development and accountable for the execution of the Retail Pharmacy acquisition strategy. The Ideal Candidate will have the ability to successfully prospect, analyze, negotiate, close and integrate small and mid-sized acquisitions that support the retail growth objectives. This includes building and maintaining a broad seller/broker relationship base. The Candidate will perform due diligence of potential acquisition opportunities along with reviewing and helping to prepare operational and financial analysis to support Senior Leadership review and approval. This Director role will be responsible for a specific geography, and will partner with their respective Pharmacy District Vice Presidents, Pharmacy Regional Directors, and Pharmacy District Leaders to strategically source opportunities to add value to the region. Growing our healthy base will be an integral part of this role’s success and can only be accomplished by a strong cross functional partnership with both field and CSC teams. The Ideal Candidate will be required to think strategically and leverage the tools and resources provided to complete acquisition diligence to create a compelling business case to gain acquisition opportunity approvals and will need to make complex decisions to create and support both short-term and long-term strategy for the organization being at the forefront of market trends, financial guardrails and operational constraints. The Ideal Candidate should also possess a deep understanding of the retail Pharmacy marketplace, including consolidation trends and PBM pressures. This role will be required to travel upwards of 75% based on the business needs. **Primary Duties and Responsibilities:** + Maintain deal pipeline, develop deal presentations, and present valuation and purchase recommendations to retail Leadership. Act as a liaison between the Retail Field Leadership Team and the corporate real estate acquisitions team to evaluate Retail targets and create and/or review deal models. This includes preparing M&A briefs/updates to communicate the approach and recommendations to executive sponsors and/or key Retail stakeholders. Support and partner across with business leaders across the Enterprise. + Execute on deal closure and integration. Candidate will lead diligence and integration conversations to help drive successful retention-based results for retail acquisitions. Candidate will be expected to support and cascade the vision created by the Retail Field and Acquisitions. + Serve as a strategic partner with Retail Field leadership to develop an acquisition strategy to support growth targets. Candidate will show a proven ability to influence leadership and challenge conventional thinking to support new and different opportunities. + Work with analytics and finance teams to review and improve reporting and performance metrics to track impact of acquisitions. Reach across the Enterprise to partner with all stake holders in the reporting of retail closings. + Contribute insights and analyses in support of other strategic enterprise initiatives as a part of the broader Retail Strategy Team **Required Qualifications** + 5+ years of experience with and a deep understanding of Pharmacy Operations, Retail, mail order, Specialty, Infusion, and Long-Term Care Pharmacy + Experience with general acquisition, finance, data analysis, and/or business strategy experience + Comprehensive understanding of acquisition valuation methodologies + Verbal, written communication and presentation skills + Ability to impact and influence at all levels from the local pharmacy to Senior Retail and Real estate Leadership. + Proven ability in Influencing and partnering in cross-functional settings (must show demonstrated capability) + Experience and success in leading and working with multiple teams to create and achieve a common goal + Ability to organize projects, manage time, and prioritize competing priorities (must be able to track and manage issues, ensure the right teams are engaged, facilitate comprehensive and timely issue resolution, conduct root cause analysis, etc.) + Ability to build partnerships with various levels across a large organization, working effectively with multiple teams, and driving work forward in a multi-faceted organization + Ability to travel 75% of the time, based on the needs of the business **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience in Prescription Benefit Management (PBM) industry + Experience in Retail Pharmacy Industry + Project management or equivalent experience + Direct M&A experience, including building valuation models and reviewing deal prospects + Ability to review contractual or legal documentation, especially as related to acquisition purchase agreements **Education** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience **Pay Range** The typical pay range for this role is: $100,000.00 - $231,540.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
